Who are we?

In 2008, I created Rentila for a very human reason: to do less, but do it better.

People often ask me why. Fair question. There were already property management software options back then. The trouble was, none of them worked for me: too complicated, too expensive, not online... basically everything I didn't want.

I used Word and Excel like everyone else. And it worked – until the day I realised I was spending more time managing my rental income than actually enjoying it.

That's when laziness did its best work: I wanted to automate everything that was eating up my time, starting with issuing rent receipts. That's how Rentila began.

At the time, we were a web agency. Creating an online product was second nature to us.
We built a minimal first version and launched it. Then we asked each new user what they thought: suggestions, frustrations, criticism (sometimes brutally honest).
That process shaped Rentila, and it still does today.

I'm proud to say Rentila has become the software I was looking for back then. Is it perfect? No. Software is never truly "finished". We listen, we adapt, we fix. We keep moving forward (sometimes even without bugs).
And I'm equally proud of the community of landlords who've been with us along the way.
We remain a small team – by choice. When you're small, you can't hide... so you might as well do things properly.
