{"id":3253,"date":"2020-11-27T19:02:28","date_gmt":"2020-11-27T18:02:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rentila.co.uk\/support\/?p=3253"},"modified":"2024-01-08T17:49:08","modified_gmt":"2024-01-08T16:49:08","slug":"create-a-document-template","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rentila.co.uk\/support\/archives\/3253","title":{"rendered":"Create a custom document template (tenancy contract, guarantor agreement&#8230;)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>To create a document template (tenancy agreement, joint guarantee, etc.), follow these simple steps: Go to the &#8220;My Documents&#8221; section, then click on &#8220;My Templates&#8221; and finally on the &#8220;New Template&#8221; button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you create a custom template, it will replace the default template of the same type provided by Rentila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For each property, you can only create one template per type of tenancy contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For each template, you can enter the following information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>type<\/strong> (Tenancy agreement, joint guarantee, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>name of the template<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>properties concerned<\/strong> (it is necessary to create the properties beforehand).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>content<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>status<\/strong> of the template (Activated\/Deactivated).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>When you customize a template, you have the option to modify the following elements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>content<\/strong>, including the text of the template.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>text format<\/strong> (font, style, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>pre-filled tags<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tags<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You have the option to use pre-filled <span class=\"label label-info\"><i class=\"far fa-arrows-alt m-r-5\"><\/i> Tags<\/span>, available on the right. Each tag contains specific information from your account, such as the property address, the name of the landlord or tenant, etc. You can simply drag and drop the tags and place them in the text of the template at the appropriate place.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"alert \">\n<p><span class=\"lead\">Important!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It is essential not to delete the dynamic tags and write fixed text in their place. In this case, it will be impossible for the software to replace these elements with dynamic data later.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"alert alert-info\">\n<p><span class=\"lead\">Good to know!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In case of a shared tenancy with multiple tenants, make sure to use the tags <span class=\"label label-info\"><i class=\"far fa-arrows-alt m-r-5\"><\/i> Tenant block start<\/span> and <span class=\"label label-info\"><i class=\"far fa-arrows-alt m-r-5\"><\/i> Tenant block end<\/span> to frame the information related to each tenant. This way, the template can create a loop and display details of several distinct tenants.<\/p>\n<p>The same process applies to displaying guarantors and generating joint guarantees.
