{"id":3035,"date":"2020-11-17T18:48:45","date_gmt":"2020-11-17T17:48:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rentila.co.uk\/support\/?p=3035"},"modified":"2024-02-15T19:00:54","modified_gmt":"2024-02-15T18:00:54","slug":"new-meter-reading","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rentila.co.uk\/support\/archives\/3035","title":{"rendered":"Create, edit or delete a meter reading"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Create a meter reading<\/h3>\n<p>To add a new meter reading, follow these steps: Go to the &#8220;Tools&#8221; section, then click on &#8220;Meter Readings&#8221; and finally on the &#8220;New Reading&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<p>For each new reading, you can enter:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <b>item<\/b> concerned,<\/li>\n<li>The <b>location<\/b> concerned,<\/li>\n<li>The <b>meter number<\/b>,<\/li>\n<li>The <b>type of meter<\/b>,<\/li>\n<li>The <b>date<\/b> and the <b>period<\/b>,<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>values of the old and new readings<\/strong> to calculate consumption,<\/li>\n<li>The <b>unit price<\/b>,<\/li>\n<li>The <b>amount<\/b>,<\/li>\n<li>The associated <b>documents<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Add the consumption amount to the &#8220;Finances&#8221; section<\/h3>\n<p>Once the reading is created, you can add it to the &#8220;Finances&#8221; section by creating:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Either a recoverable expense, to be taken into account during the annual charge reconsilliation;<\/li>\n<li>Or create an income, a bill that the tenant will pay you separately.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Furthermore, you have the option to add this amount to an existing rent receipt as an additional charge line.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Edit a meter reading<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you wish to modify an existing reading, go to the &#8220;Tools&#8221; section, then &#8220;Meter Readings&#8221;, click on the &#8220;Edit&#8221; action to the right of the concerned reading, make the necessary modifications, and then click on &#8220;Save&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Delete a meter reading<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To delete a reading, go to the &#8220;Tools&#8221; section, then &#8220;Meter Readings&#8221;, click on the &#8220;Delete&#8221; action to the right of the concerned reading.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Create a meter reading To add a new meter reading, follow these steps: Go to the &#8220;Tools&#8221; section, then click on &#8220;Meter Readings&#8221; and finally on the &#8220;New Reading&#8221; button.
