{"id":272,"date":"2014-05-14T17:58:27","date_gmt":"2014-05-14T15:58:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/support.rentila.com\/?p=272"},"modified":"2025-12-14T19:42:23","modified_gmt":"2025-12-14T18:42:23","slug":"creer-un-credit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rentila.co.uk\/support\/archives\/272","title":{"rendered":"Create, modify and delete a loan\/mortgage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To add a loan\/mortgage, you have two options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to the <strong>Finances<\/strong> section, click <strong>Loans\/Mortgages<\/strong>, then click <strong>Import a Loan<\/strong> to import a payment schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the <strong>Finances<\/strong> section and create a new <strong>recurring expense<\/strong> of type <strong>Loan<\/strong> (with automatic schedule calculation), or import a payment schedule.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Create a loan with a recurring \u201cLoan\u201d expense<\/h3>\n<p>If you choose to create a recurring expense of type <strong>Loan<\/strong>, you can use the automatic payment schedule calculation. To do this, you will need to provide:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The <strong>start date<\/strong> and <strong>end date<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>total amount<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>interest rate<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>insurance rate<\/strong> (if applicable).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>A button will allow you to preview the payment schedule before validating this expense.<\/p>\n<p>If the schedule does not meet your expectations, the only solution is to import a schedule from the <strong>Loans\/Mortgages<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"import\">Import a loan from the \u201cLoans\/Mortgages\u201d section<\/h3>\n<p>To import a loan, you can upload a file containing your payment schedule in <strong>Excel<\/strong> or <strong>OpenOffice<\/strong> format from the <strong>Loans\/Mortgages<\/strong> page, using our templates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a class=\"documentlink\" href=\"\/content\/Models\/Credit.xls\">Excel template<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a class=\"documentlink\" href=\"\/content\/Models\/Credit.ods\">OpenOffice template<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can use these files to calculate your payment schedule. Once the calculation is done, export the <strong>import template<\/strong> (available in the first sheet, named <strong>\u201cImport Template\u201d<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a class=\"documentlink\" href=\"\/content\/Models\/Credit_calc.xlsm\">Mortgage calculator (Excel)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a class=\"documentlink\" href=\"\/content\/Models\/Credit_calc.ods\" data-wplink-edit=\"true\">Mortgage calculator (OpenOffice)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"alert alert-info m-b-20 m-t-20\">\n<h3 class=\"lead\">Note<\/h3>\n<p>You can copy and paste the data from the <strong>second sheet<\/strong> of the Excel calculator file into the <strong>import template<\/strong>. Please use <strong>Paste Special<\/strong> and paste <strong>values only<\/strong> (no formulas or macros).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Modify or stop a loan\/mortgage<\/h3>\n<h4>Loan created as a recurring expense<\/h4>\n<p>To change the instalment amount, locate and edit the <strong>last generated payment<\/strong>. This change will be applied to <strong>all future instalments<\/strong>. Payments already generated must be edited manually, one by one, if needed.<\/p>\n<p>To end a loan, locate and edit the <strong>last generated payment<\/strong>, then click the <strong>Actions<\/strong> on the right and select <strong>Stop<\/strong>. This action is only available for the <strong>last generated instalment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4>Loan imported via the \u201cLoans\/Mortgages\u201d section<\/h4>\n<p>To change an imported loan, you must first <strong>delete it<\/strong>, then <strong>import an updated payment schedule<\/strong>. Individual instalments cannot be edited.<\/p>\n<p>Imported loans can be deleted or stopped from the <strong>Loans\/Mortgages<\/strong> section. Filter the relevant loan(s), then use the <strong>Actions<\/strong> at the bottom of the page.<\/p>\n<h3>Delete a loan\/mortgage<\/h3>\n<p>You can <strong>delete imported loans<\/strong> from the <strong>Loans\/Mortgages<\/strong> section (filter the loan, then use the actions at the bottom) or from the <strong>Finances<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n<p>Loans created from the <strong>Finances<\/strong> section must be deleted from that same section.<\/p>\n<p>Use the filters to display only the loan, select all rows, then delete them using the <strong>Delete<\/strong> action at the bottom of the table.<\/p>\n<p>To delete an imported loan from the <strong>Loans\/Mortgages<\/strong> section, filter to display only that loan, then use the <strong>Delete<\/strong> button at the bottom of the table.<\/p>\n<h3>Loan renegotiation<\/h3>\n<p>To record a loan renegotiation, you need to <strong>stop the current loan<\/strong> and <strong>create a new loan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We recommend importing payment schedules using the templates provided on the <strong>Loans\/Mortgages<\/strong> page.<\/p>\n<p>For the previous loan, you can export it, edit the export file by removing unnecessary instalments, save the file, then re-import it.<\/p>\n<p>Before re-importing the modified file, make sure you have deleted the old loan in Rentila.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To add a loan\/mortgage, you have two options: Go to the Finances section, click Loans\/Mortgages, then click Import a Loan to import a payment schedule.
