# The essentials to get started

### How do I get started?

To get started with Rentila, follow these steps:

1. **Create a property**
   Create a detailed record for your let property (flat, house, parking space and so on): address, floor area, fittings and the rest.
2. **Create a tenant**
   Create a detailed record for your tenant: first name and surname, address, phone number, occupation and so on.
3. **Create a tenancy agreement**
   Bring your let property and your tenant together in a tenancy agreement. Set the term, the rent and the service charges.

### Automatic rent generation

For each tenancy agreement, the rent is generated automatically every month in the “Finance” section. In practice, you almost never need to add a rent by hand.
